bio

Elizabeth Mary, an up-and-coming country songstress, wife, mom and children’s book author, wrote her first song, "I Have a Dream,” at age 10 and has been pursuing that dream ever since. Raised on a dairy farm in rural Iowa, Elizabeth Mary performed her first shows to herds of disinterested cattle and cornfields. Music was always a constant in her life drawing heavy influence from 90’s country and pop music. She performed for many years across the Midwest with well-known cover bands refining her craft of performing and captivating audiences at local venues and large festivals.

In 2018, Elizabeth Mary followed her own lyrics and “danced with the fear” leaving her career job of 14 years to pursue her music as a solo artist and formed her own band, The Elizabeth Mary Band. She began work on her debut album at Megatone Studios in Madison, Wisconsin with her engineer, producer and now husband, Paul Schluter. Her highly anticipated 14 track, all original album, “Meet Me in Madison” released in November 2019. Her lyrics reached farther than just the music. With a background in retail merchandise and design, she released a clothing line featuring her lyrics and positive messages from her music. Her apparel is featured online and in local boutiques.

2020 proved to be a challenging year for many artists. Elizabeth turned a dark year for the music industry into a time to connect with fans across the country on another level. After the cancellation of over 100 shows, she decided to host a live virtual show via Facebook Live on Tuesday nights called “Sweatpants and Wine”. Her debut show reached over 36,000 viewers making local and regional news. Sweatpants and Wine continued into 2021 with over 50 episodes and won Silver in Best of Madison Virtual Performance of 2020 through Madison Magazine.

After becoming a mom in early 2021, Elizabeth added author to resume turning her newest acoustic single, “Share Your Shine” into a children’s book. Elizabeth self-published her book and has sold close to 1,300 copies. She expanded her audience by performing for children in local libraries, daycares and schools.

Elizabeth Mary continued to make a name for herself and her band by winning the title of "Best Country Band of 2021" at the Hodag Country Music Festival in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The band has had the honor of sharing the stages with many national acts throughout the years including Air Supply, Clint Black, Lonestar, Jordan Davis, Collin Raye, Thompson Square, Lorrie Morgan, Priscilla Block and LANCO.

In 2022, the band released 3 new singles, two of which were played on stations including Q106FM Madison Country and 105.5FM Triple M. Elizabeth’s song writing was recognized in 2023 winning Gold in the Best of Madison Singer-Songwriter category.  The band is currently in the studio working on new music to hopefully release another full-length album in 2025.

Another opportunity came knocking at Elizabeth Mary’s door in the summer of 2024. Elizabeth was hired by Midwest Family Broadcasting in Madison, Wisconsin to work for Q106 Madison Country radio station working as an on-air personality on the Fish with Friends morning show. Not only is her single “Breathe in Girl” in rotation, but she is now co-hosting the morning show with Fish Calloway. You can catch her live Monday through Friday 6am – 10am or on their Q106 mobile app.

Elizabeth Mary fills her schedule as a full-time musician playing over 170+ acoustic solo, duo and full band shows annually playing a mix of country, pop, classic rock and original music playing local venues and large festivals in the area including Brat Fest, Taste of Madison and AtwoodFest.  Whether playing solo or with the full band, Elizabeth will leave an impression on your heart and a smile on your face. Elizabeth Mary’s relatable lyrics and genuine personality will leave you wanting more.
